Mallacoota Community Update 14/05/20
posted about 1 month ago by Trigger from Mallacoota RSL
Crisp mornings followed by sunshine makes everyone realise why we all chose to live in Mallacoota. I’ve had a request for a heater from a local who lost their home. If anyone has an electric or gas heater they can donate please let me know.
If anyone requires a container for storage or a caravan for living in please let me know as I am getting offers for both.
The winter clothing from Rotary is going fast so if anyone wants some please come up and see if anything fits.
Lyndell contacted me and wants everyone to know that Pambula Wholefoods are taking a 3-week break. So if anyone is heading up to resupply you will have to keep going to Bega.
The new RSL firepit for the dawn service is being constructed and will be picked up next week. I’ll post some pictures of it when it arrives. It will make a great addition to Captain Stevens point for the Dawn service.
Rotary is organising a community trailer for Mallacoota. Hopefully, I will know today and if all works out I will pick it up in Melbourne on the return trip after dropping Sarah back to school next weekend. Residents will be able to borrow it for a day free of charge when needed.
That’s it for now. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and there are only a few days left before voting for the recovery committee is closed so please mail off your forms ASAP if you haven’t done so already.
